We com­bi­ne our many years of expe­ri­ence in top-​class gas­tro­no­my, now in its third gene­ra­ti­on, with a pas­si­on for embra­cing exci­ting new trends. This is whe­re tra­di­ti­on meets inno­va­ti­on, crea­ting culina­ry expe­ri­en­ces for you and your guests.

Our histo­ry

1925

Three gene­ra­ti­ons ago, ‘Grand­pa Metz’ com­ple­ted his mas­ter but­cher’s cer­ti­fi­ca­te after finis­hing his stu­dies.

1934

Ope­ning of a small but­cher’s shop in the Eifel regi­on.

1965

His son Ernst Metz con­tin­ued the tra­di­ti­on, espe­ci­al­ly with a focus on top qua­li­ty as a mas­ter but­cher, and ope­ned his first but­cher’s shop in 1965, fol­lo­wed by four more in the Colo­gne area.

1970

With the rise of the par­ty sce­ne in the 1970s, demand for fin­ger food, salads, etc. grew ste­adi­ly. As cus­to­mer satis­fac­tion increased, so did the ran­ge of ser­vices offe­red. METZ Par­ty Ser­vice in Brühl city cen­ter was born.

1993

Sin­ce 1993, Paul Metz and his fami­ly have been run­ning the com­pa­ny, which, with its move to its cur­rent con­cept buil­ding on Ham­bur­ger Stra­ße, has been able to build a repu­ta­ti­on for its­elf not only for pri­va­te par­ties but also for pro­fes­sio­nal events.

2020

Even with the coro­na­vi­rus pan­de­mic brin­ging the event indus­try to a standstill, we’­re kicking off the “Sha­ring is Caring” fund­rai­ser, which is get­ting atten­ti­on and posi­ti­ve feed­back across the coun­try. One of the cam­paign dis­plays is even being added to the coll­ec­tion at the “House of Histo­ry” muse­um in Ger­ma­ny. With events on hold, we’­re tem­po­r­a­ri­ly pro­du­cing for retail: METZ. – The cur­ry­wurst is beco­ming a best­sel­ler in the Rhi­ne­land!

2023

We are sig­ning a long-​term lea­se agree­ment for the magni­fi­cent STEL­LA RHE­NI pro­per­ty and trans­forming the vil­la into Ger­many’s most exclu­si­ve event and wed­ding venue.

We love sus­taina­bi­li­ty

As a regio­nal catering pro­vi­der, we place gre­at importance on sus­taina­bi­li­ty. Our food comes from con­trol­led sources, such as our part­ner far­mer in Brühl, and our but­cher only pro­ces­ses meat that has been cer­ti­fied by us. Qua­li­ty stan­dards such as orga­nic, MSC, and Fair­Trade are important to us, and we do not use any pre­ser­va­ti­ves.

We also use energy-​efficient kit­chen appli­ances and elec­tric deli­very vehic­les. We do not use dis­posable products—we use cera­mic tab­le­wa­re, returnable dis­hes, and fil­te­red tap water.
