Our history
Three generations ago, ‘Grandpa Metz’ completed his master butcher’s certificate after finishing his studies.

His son Ernst Metz continued the tradition, especially with a focus on top quality as a master butcher, and opened his first butcher’s shop in 1965, followed by four more in the Cologne area.
With the rise of the party scene in the 1970s, demand for finger food, salads, etc. grew steadily. As customer satisfaction increased, so did the range of services offered. METZ Party Service in Brühl city center was born.
Since 1993, Paul Metz and his family have been running the company, which, with its move to its current concept building on Hamburger Straße, has been able to build a reputation for itself not only for private parties but also for professional events.
Even with the coronavirus pandemic bringing the event industry to a standstill, we’re kicking off the “Sharing is Caring” fundraiser, which is getting attention and positive feedback across the country. One of the campaign displays is even being added to the collection at the “House of History” museum in Germany. With events on hold, we’re temporarily producing for retail: METZ. – The currywurst is becoming a bestseller in the Rhineland!
We are signing a long-term lease agreement for the magnificent STELLA RHENI property and transforming the villa into Germany’s most exclusive event and wedding venue.
